This treasure was handmade by Artisan Crispína French in Western Massachusetts. Crispína hand selected vintage thrift shop sweaters and made blankets, pillows, clothes, and art. She carefully pieced together the parts of the sweaters she thought were most interesting. The pillow is trimmed in fine, soft blue velvet. This is an heirloom piece which speaks to green design, the timelessness of environmental protection, and artistry. It is a conversation piece. There is a recycled vintage sweater stuffed animal listed separately. To my knowledge the artisan no longer makes these type of home decor. It seems she is most focused on clothes. 

I purchased this superbly designed pillow along with a wool quilt and a few other Crispína keepsakes for my first son’s room. The pillow is in pristine condition. It is a functional work of art and certainly a piece to be cherished.
